We are looking for a UI/UX Engineer in our Software Engineering team to join us on this exciting journey! 


Your mission

As our UI/UX Engineer at Prewave, you will… 


  • Collaborate with the product management team to create scalable UI components for Javascript based applications

  • Convert wireframes into functional requirements and develop clean, reusable code to create interchangeable frontend modules

  • Identify the development areas in the existing application, create solutions for elaborate business needs, design and implement these solutions

  • Collaborate with product management, engineering, and DevOps to develop features, troubleshoot problems, and conduct testing for high-traffic customer-facing services and applications in an agile and collaborative team environment, while taking complete ownership of your solution throughout the development and production phases

  • Create code that adheres to the most recent coding guidelines and industry standards.

Your profile

Must haves

  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering with deep expertise in frontend development; broad experience in building modern JavaScript-based web and SaaS products

  • Extensive hands-on experience with JavaScript frameworks and libraries (Angular, React, Vue, etc)

  • Strong expertise in RESTful APIs and how to use them in practice

  • Strong understanding of user experience design principles

  • Familiarity with design tools such as Figma and Storybook

  • Expertise in writing effective unit, integration, and end-user automation tests

  • Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

  • Experience working in an Agile development environment

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills


Bonus points for

  • Previous experience with SaaS environment 

  • Experience with UX research and testing

  • Knowledge of accessibility best practices

  • Familiarity with UI animation and micro-interactions

  • Experience with Git or other version control systems

What we offer you
  • An extensive compensation package
    We are offering an attractive compensation package that consists of a base salary and a performance-based bonus. The minimum OTE (on-target-earning), which is the projected salary (base + bonus), for this role is EUR 65.000 gross a year. The actual compensation package is based on your qualifications and experience.
