Your mission

In this role as a German-speaking Enterprise Account Executive – Public Sector you’ll be responsible for building and nurturing strong partnerships with government organisations, securing new business opportunities, and promoting effective collaboration. You’ll gain a deep understanding of public sector priorities and ensure that our solutions align with and support their mission and goals.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Proactively builds a sales pipeline by identifying and reaching out to relevant prospects across the Public and Energy sectors.

  • Manages the entire sales process from initial contact through to deal closure and plays a central role in negotiations and finalising contracts.

  • Develops in-depth knowledge of Prewave’s solutions and confidently showcases the platform to external stakeholders.

  • Works closely with supporting teams to support ongoing growth and maximise value within existing accounts.

  • Brings a solid understanding of the public sector landscape, including its unique sales strategies and extended sales cycles.

Your profile

Must-haves:

  • 5 to 10 years of experience in SaaS sales, with a strong focus on Public sector and Strategic accounts.

  • Well-versed in strategic planning and navigating the full Public Sector sales cycle, from prospecting to closing new business.

  • Deep understanding of government relations and political processes, with the ability to engage effectively across various stakeholders.

  • Consistently outperforms sales targets, particularly in fast-paced, high-growth (scale-up) environments.

  • Hands-on experience with public procurement portals and managing tender processes.

  • Fluent in both German and English

  • Valid work permit for Austria/Germany


Bonus points for:
  • Additional language skills and experience in public affairs or supply chain topics

  • Familiarity with Salesforce and experience in fast-paced scale-up environments

  • An established network in the public, energy, or defence sectors

  • Competitive Compensation and Benefits: We recognise and reward talent. You'll receive a competitive compensation package that includes a base salary and a performance-based bonus. In accordance with the Austrian collective agreement we have to mention the minimum gross monthly salary for this position which is EUR 3,843. However, the actual compensation package will be tailored to your qualifications and experience, and is likely to be higher.
